One Hell of a July!
Sunday 31st July 2016
The first weekend of July was my busiest of the year so far. With 3 vocal gigs and being the wedding DJ for 2 more, it was full-on, but so fun!
I started off the marathon weekend singing at The Dorchester Hotel with a top London function band for a wonderful charity called Dreamflight. They raise money to send seriously ill children to Florida for the holiday of a lifetime. Amazing!
On Friday I travelled up to Warwickshire to sing with Club Anthems and Dance Covers Band, LFX at a gorgeous barn wedding. Then we headed back to London to perform at a 20th Wedding Anniversary at the awesome Ham Yard Hotel. (The hotel has its own cinema and bowling alley!) I finished the evening DJing some classic 80's tunes for the Italian crowd.
On Sunday I DJ'd at a garden party wedding in Winchester. The first dance was a traditional Danish waltz as the bride was Danish, after that I played plenty of dance floor fillers and the bride and groom didn't leave the dance floor all night.
Monday was a beautiful wedding at Rivervale Barn in Hampshire. I sang a laid-back set whilst the evening guests arrived, finishing with the first dance – Thinking Out Loud. Then straight into DJing a mix of top 40 hits, disco classics and old school 90's dance and R 'n B.
Phew! Then a few days rest before it all started again.
I'm really looking forward to seeing what fun the rest of the summer brings...it's certainly looking to be just as busy! I do have a few more dates though, so if you would like me to play at your wedding, just give me a ring and book me for your big day!
